Therefore it is imperative to have physical barriers in place wherever they are present. Laser radiation must be prevented from escaping through the windows of laboratories, production facilities and hospital operating/procedure rooms. Ordinary window blinds are incapable of stopping typical high powered lasers used in industry and medical applications.

RT Technologies provides approved laser blinds for medical use and for optical laser safety, including laser blinds for hospitals, operating room laser blinds, and operating room blackout blinds. Roller Blinds

laser blocking roller blinds Our Laser-Safety Roller Blinds are made from the same Lasermet laser-blocking material as the laser blocking curtains and are made-to-measure to fit any size of window; available as standard roller (chain/crank) or encapsulated (side channel total light blocking) options.

When using Standard Laser-Blocking Roller Blinds for non-recessed windows, it is recommended to allow an extra 2"on the height and width, giving an extra 4" around the perimeter. Doing so will ensure that there is no possibility of laser beams passing through the window.

Encapsulated Roller Blinds

encapsulated laser blocking safety blinds Our Laser Safety Encapsulated (Total Light Blocking) Roller Blinds are made using the same laser-blocking material as the standard laser safety roller blinds. However, this roller blind is built into a white finish aluminum frame, which encapsulates the top, both edges and bottom of the blind. This eliminates any possibility of laser beams passing round the sides of the blind, blocks out all light and gives a much neater finish - in addition to affording optimal protection.
