Illuminated Safety Signs in a Medical Setting

19 August 2019

Do you need illuminated safety signs in a medical setting?  Keeping patients safe in a medical office or hospital is of utmost importance.  If your facility uses lasers or X-Ray machines, an illuminated sign will keep patients, visitors, and employees aware of the hazards.

RT Technologies offers several types of signs, but today we will focus on the Mini LED sign and the Smart Sign.

Mini LED Sign

The Mini LED sign is low voltage (24V) and can be directly connected to a laser or X-ray machine.  Thus, when the laser or x-ray machine is turned on, the sign will display a danger message.  This is a great option as you don’t have to think about flipping a switch or displaying a placard when the machine is in use.

The Mini LED sign is available with one message or two messages.Danger X-Rays On and Off

For the sign with two messages, it has a danger message in red, a safety message in green, and no message when powered off.

It has a lifetime in excess of 50,000 operational hours.  They are effectively maintenance free hence eliminating costs and risks.

The dimensions of the Mini LED sign are: 6.3 (w) x 4.3 (h) x 1.5 (d)

Smart Sign

The Smart Sign is about the size of a small tablet.  It measures 7.8 (w) x 4.5 (h) x 1.8 (d) inches.Danger Laser On Smart Sign - text in red

The sign allows for the user to configure a message and corresponding background from a library of standard displays, or by development of a custom display.  The Smart Sign can display pictures, messages, or just about anything you can create an image of.  It is easily programmed via a website or USB.  It is an easy process.  First, upload the message or picture you want visible to our designated website.  Second, connect the sign via WiFi to update.  Or you can download the file from our website onto your USB.  Then, you simply plug the USB drive into the Smart Sign.  The uses for this sign are infinite!

This sign can also be hooked up directly to a laser, x-ray machine, interlock, etc.  It is 110V AC or 24V DC supply capable.
